New Players:
- Henyrk [Matf] – Level 1 FIghter – who fights to make audible the nonsonorous forces of the cosmos.
- Roald, Level 2 Fighter, a servant to the natural laws trying to bring honor to Nature’s Laws
Log:
- Mundane day at the fort: Soldiers doing morning exercises, a long bearded cleric making their rounds
- We left Fort Ray back to the Cave area to continue searching for the missing Lord
- Apple was still there –drunk
- As we moved west towards the cave a giant, lichen covered, slug charged us from the bushes. It was mad –refused parley
- Taiga killed it
- We discover it was Lord Congruent, whose dying words were “Find Him! [Lord Obtuse]”
- We kept some the Lichen cut from the corpse, upon inspection:
- It’s some form of blueberry but much smaller
- We looted the corpse (witnessed by Apple, and an old man named Samuel who lives in the area). Found:
- letter: CONFIDENTIAL with the seal of the geometer lords
- Addressed to Lord Congruent. “You must protect Lord Obtuse. I believe Lord Lobachevsky is seeking to unleash the anomaly” signed by “J”
- 10 equilateral triangular gold looking coins
- Dead bat

- We re-entered the caves where Boris died but went left (south-west), following a strong fresh cut timber smell
- We encountered a sleeping bear with an owl’s face surrounded by old stacked wood logs immediately to the southwest
- Party left, Roald stayed behind to investigate the wood (which turned out to be old and dry)
- Roald woke it up to parley. It was not happy and charged Roald. Combat ensues. The room is lit on fire by torches. Some of the party joins combat:
- The magician casts light and blinds it
- Abel goes down to a cruel bite from the owl bear
- The entire party joined the fray
- It panicked and ran deeper into the caves after taking several hits
- Formed a bucket brigade and started putting out the flames in the corridor, which took some time. Revealing:
- Many bones, appear to be ancient mammalian bones that are quite large
- A crafted, arms length long four inch diameter bone tube of unknown providence. No notches on it. It’s hollow but capped on both ends with something inside. Sounds like paper inside.
- The wizard Tangle recognizes that this is an old method for storing documents, practiced by scholars of the north
- We open it and determine it’s a scroll of “Mammoth Cloud”
- We followed the Owl bear to a southern room, past a closed door, where we discovered it to be deceased.
- We returned to town with all the corpses (Owlbear, Abel, pilfered corpse Lord Congruent)
