Carousing & Rumors
Blither went carousing, spending 140 GP from petty cash and earning 700 XP. During the festivities, Beleros stumbled drunk across a group in animal skins chanting by the Keep, invoking Seth, Great God of the Desert. Their leader, Geos, insisted it was just a play and warned Beleros to forget what he had seen.
Spider Smackdown
The party revisited the breached crypt, then pushed into the spider lair. Beleros used the Rope of Climbing to ignite webs, Zsolt put most spiders to sleep, and Alexos cast Bless. A big and giant spider resisted ranged attacks, and though Beleros was poisoned, Alexos saved him. Loot: 110 GP, a white opal worth 200 GP, a potion of white foam, and a scroll of Magic Mouth.

The Chessboard Tomb
At a chasm, the group descended a 20-foot hole. Zsolt, aided by a potion of gaseous form, discovered 18 carved chessboards and a Mythric inscription: “Hithra the Paleologos Rests Within. Visitors are Unwanted.” Chess-piece carvings hinted at a puzzle—archons, dragons, priests, sorcerers, and legionaries. Solving the sequence opened a door to a massive chessboard chamber with a corpse in armor and a sword lying on a central table.

Statues & Secret Doors
Backtracking, the group experimented with a statue: raising one arm produced a circle of blindness, but raising both arms opened a hidden southeastern passage.

Sarcophagi & Traps
The party discovered three sarcophagi and used the Rope of Climbing to open them at a safe distance. The first triggered spear traps rising up from holes in the floor but contained a mummy with treasure, the second held jade necklaces, and the third more jewelry. Loot: 27 GP, jewelry worth 500 GP, jade necklaces worth 500 GP, additional jewelry worth 500 GP, a magical scroll (Magic Missile, Sleep, Ray of Enfeeblement), and a magical shield.

The Cursed Fountain
A rough southern passage led back to the chasm, and a nearby circular chamber held a baboon statue spouting water. When Blither drank, he aged five years and lost one point of Constitution.
Final Finds
On their way out, the group raided more sarcophagi. Loot: jewelry worth 500 GP, 500 GP, 200 GP, and three pieces worth 125 GP each.
